Grey strands from a girl's point of view

A touching thing happened a couple of weeks back.

I saw tears running down her rosy cheeks. Her head on her daddy’s lap. Daddy was talking softly, as if consoling her. I approached the two and provoked clarification with my eyes.

Daddy: She saw the bunch of grey strands on my head.
Me: And?
Daddy: She was sad. She said I’m getting older and I will soon die. She doesn’t want me to die.

I saw more tears streaming down her cheeks. For a moment, I though I felt hot streams coming my way too.
